Good afternoon all you bakers out there. When i make bread it always seems to look yellowish/off white in colour and i was wondering why this is. The bread in the shops always looks so white. I use white bread flour - usually shops own brand. I can only think that the shops must put something into t...

Re: Not all recycled!

Thanks both of you. Sorry to be a pain but is it best to have clear plastic or the plastic that looks "frosted" - i am thinking probably the frosted? I'm glad you mentioned diging the bottom of the frame in - i have visions of it ending up on the M4 - which wouldn't be far for a poly tunne...

Re: Not all recycled!

Mallard - i know this is a bit off topic but was your poly tunnel easy to put up? Do you recommend them? I'm thinking of getting one but dont know how long they last - it would be helpful to have your thoughts. Thank you.

Re: courgettes

I never knew that fish ate things like this - so today i've learnt something! I planted a couple of courgettes in between the runner beans (trying to make use of the space) and although they look happy - the courgettes have not grown to anything more than 4" and they are quite thin - so won't t...

Re: ANyone tried growing fig trees?
