Re: My Exbatt has gone Broody

Hi all Thanks for the advice. I don't really want to put eggs under her. I just want what's best for her. I think hatching eggs should not be taken lightly. As you always have the issue what to do with the boys. Im going to try her on freezer pack tomorrow, and see if that helps. I'm a bit worried a...

My Exbatt has gone Broody

Hi all My Exbatt (Private Pile) had gone broody, and im not sure what to do. I keep putting her out of the coop, but it doesn't seem to be making a difference. I was considering putting 2 eggs under her (they wont be ex batt eggs). But I'm not that keen on doing that as don't really want any extra c...

Re: A very naughty chicken

Hi

I use normal plastic dog bowls. I find they they will drink every last drop from a black bowl, but will not touch a light blue one that stands next to it.

But they think the same type of bowl in another part of the run is fine to drink out of.

they are just funny little things

Re: Can't decide what's wrong

My Ruby was a bit like this, still eating, but she just seemed slower than she is normally and when I open the run door for free ranging she normally flies over the top of the others to get out first, but she stopped doing that. Took her to the vets and she had a infection, a course for baytral late...
