Re: advice on feed amounts

doesn't happen, plenty of room, it works, can't say I have had an incident of poop in the feeder, mind you there is enough room between the feeder and the perch, hey it's up to you but its hassle free feeding for me and they are thriving on it

Total feeding time is about half an hour a week, I...

Re: Bee Friendly Zones

we have a lavender bush must be five feet across in full flower, you should see the bees on it, getting more honey bees this year too, a bonus, we grow flowers rather than veg, for the birds bees and butterflies, seems more important somehow, and without bees we are truly stuffed!

Is this just local to holderness or is it a nationwide thing, also we have reasonable numbers of bumblebe...

Re: Slugs...!

Get a hanging feeder, put it in the coop where it's dry so the slugs can't get at it and that should solve theproblem, mine only get there extras in the run in the morning when the slugs have gone, any slugs that wander into the run while the chickens are up are considered as protein and promptly sc...

I have the same feeder and it sits on an upturned ceramic dog bowl, in this case to stop my chickens scratching dirt into it, it lasts my four all day like this and dog bowls (ceramic) are pretty cheep! boom boom :-D

Can't do any harm having a go at the big six robbers...

Re: WASHING AT 30 DEGREES - TOO EXPENSIVE FOR ME!

morning redoak, I was a combi sceptic until we had one of the new ones put in and to be honest its very efficient, cheap to run and subject to your wallet provides limitless hot water, something a water tank will never do. The preheat purely keeps the heat exchanger up to temp and saves more on wate...
