Re: Mr Cox again

I don't associate religion with science, I associate my beliefs with science, my beliefs are not religious, I don't need rules or church services to validate my belief that we are created by intelligent design. If religion is a set of rules on how to live your life, is science not a set of rules by ...

Re: Mr Cox again

I'm a Christian, I believe in God, no one can prove he exists, and no one can prove he doesn't, much like all the scientific theories, no one can prove or disprove them, science is well known for heading off down blind allies, and scientists are as fanciful as any one in the church. Robert, this wa...

Re: Mr Cox again

I haven't watched it and probably won't, the reason is I tried watching it and find Prof Cox totally sleep inducing, he just drones on in my head, had another go watching last night, got to the bit where he was sitting next to Niagara Falls and just wanted to push him in. So I'm not qualified to com...

Re: Selling Eggs.

We put our surplus eggs out with a sign asking for £1.00 and naming the chickens and which colour eggs they lay, they're usually gone within ten minutes We're thinking about putting the price up after Christmas, most other egg sellers seem to be charging £1.20 now, and one even charges £1.40, still ...

Only watched a bit of it, I thought what I did see was pretty poor.

And what on earth was BM thinking doing that to his face :?

Re: Making a dogs dinner more exciting?

Just my opinion, but I think varying their meals can make a rod for your own back. I think you have to be careful with gravy because of the salt content. I've been asked so many times by people, why their dogs won't eat what's put in front of them, when pressed, it's usually, they won't eat the dog ...

Re: Amazon coming up trumps !!

Another big for Amazon. My son gave me a Kindle in February. On Thursday the screen froze and went stripey. - Disaster I thought - Found their help page. Phoned at 10pm no quibbles no need to find receipts - Their apologies and a new replacement arrived today and they will collect the old one for f...

Re: SKY NEWS

Sadly I feel that the news is all about sensationalisation than facts; another soldier has died, oh well never mind, what someone did on I’m a celebrity or who has had a well scripted falling out on a phone vote talent show…stop the press, front page news. It seems that we prefer gossip to actual n...

Re: Wendy's dog training classes

Your classes sound great Wendy I don't think puppy classes as run by most places are a good idea, puppies need to socialise with the whole range of what they are likely to meet, not just puppies around their own age. I fact I don't think puppy classes, puppy parties or what ever, should be called th...

Re: 'Rent-a-Hen' - what's this all about??

Brad, I don't think it's a case of being gullible, companies are so clever at marketing, they play to what we want to be the reality, they know which words push the buttons to make us buy, like Happy, we associate that with nice things, so we assume Happy Eggs are laid by Happy Chickens, and we assu...

Re: 'Rent-a-Hen' - what's this all about??

they don`t have the hens, the hens are on RSPCA freedom food inspected farms, so basicly they just deliver "free range" eggs to you from local farms If its any thing like the Happy Egg company Freedom Foods inspected farms, it might be better if it quietly slips away. http://blip.tv/viva-...

Re: 'Rent-a-Hen' - what's this all about??

I thought of a similar idea, I thought people with out space to keep hens could buy them, we'd keep them here, and look after the general maintenance of the hens, cleaning, feeding etc, they would be responsible for food, medication etc, and a small fee to us per week depending on the number of hens...

Re: COMET

I bought a point and shoot camera, took it back it was clearly faulty, one of the sales people took a picture with it and said "nothing wrong with that, you don't know how to use cameras" I told him I had a done seven photography courses, ranging from macro to night shooting, and had an DS...

That's way over priced given our experience with their customer services dept, had to take them to court to get a result.
