Re: Ok you said no question too silly......

I have a tarp over mine so the girls can stand under it like old ladies at the bus-stop.. and it helps keep the soil dry and smell free. However, As I haev 2 runs- I have a very good green one to blend in and a lovely camo one- stops it looking too much like Steptoe's yard. Wouldnt be with out them ...

Re: HI I'm new to forum and chicken keeping!

Hello and welcome

Remember- very important- no question is a silly question- if you think it ask it- cos we've all been there and there is loads of experience here (not me) and someone will always have an answer.

enjoy your chucks- I know you will... >ch<

Re: broody troubles

Thanks Stace...

It cant have been more than 3 hours- may not have been that long- so she is sat firmly on them now. I think I will leave them to it for now and move her nearer the hatch time and keep fingers crossed. Where she is now is cosy for her in this weather.

thanks

broody troubles

My Mrs Miggins is very broody- so yesterday I gave her some fertile eggs- she has only been sat for a day and came out of her cat box in the main run for some food but accidentally shut the door behind her. She therefore went to bed in the big house, leaving her eggs. That was for about 3 hours..wil...

Re: Fresh Start For Hens Rehoming 31st March

Hi

She needs to keep an eye on the Fresh Start for Hens website and when they announce the next date (I have read May- not 100% though) she can register and make her donation. she will then get details and info on where to go and when they are collectable. >ch<
