Rats

Anyone know how to keep rats from running up the pole of the bird table. Getting fed up of seeing it sitting there eating the bird food.

Was it you that has a "liver dog training treat recipe" and if so can you please re-post the recipe.

Many thanks.

Re: Help - made a mistake with my chutney

Thanks for the replies. Going to have a go next week but do half the amount at a time as even my biggest pan was full almost to the top without the missing 3 K of figs. It does explain one thing though. Whilst I was waiting for it to cook I phoned a friend about it and we estimated how may jars it w...

Help - made a mistake with my chutney

I volunteered to make fig chutney to sell at a Christmas fayre from 6 k of figs donated by a friend and I think I have made a mess of it. I spent all last Tuesday afternoon chopping and dicing and finally ended up with 19 jars of chutney. The problem is I thought the figs (frozen) were in 1 K bags a...

Something appears to be eating it. Some of it has holes in and I also found some small black bugs that I presumed were black fly.

Re: emergency freezer repair

Say this in the daily telegraph property advice section recently. Too cold to freeze Q: I have recently bought a new upright freezer from a well known German maker. It replaced a similar model which worked well for years in my unheated garage. The new one specifies a lower ambient temperature of +10...

Condensed Milk

I have just used 125 ml of condensed milk and have the remainder left, has anyone any ideas on what I can do with it? As I cannot buy it here and a friend has brought it out I would hate to throw it away. Thought of making fudge but too busy today to go and buy chocolate.
