For what it's worth my understanding was you really should have a minimum of three hens in order to establish a pecking order two isn't really enough and if one dies you are then left with a lone hen which is harder to intergrate new hens with or the lone hen into an existing flock ?

Hi you are more likely to get responses posting in perhaps the keeping chickens thread tbh There could be lots of reasons there not getting along first thing though it is always recommended that you get at least three hens so that they can establish a pecking order as if one dies your not left with ...

I think you will find unless you live in a rural area it can constitute a noise pollution problem if you get complaints to the environmental health dept of the council they can force you get rid if any Cockerels and will take you to court to enforce if necessary bantams tend to have shriller crowing...

Lavender Pekin Boy 19 weeks old lovely feathering not at all fiesty he is used to being handled daily so he's very tame happy to deliver within reason for a forever home :-D

I would happily have these girls can anyone help with a chicken train to get these girls closer to me in hertfordshire? I also have family in Odiham Hampshire so could collect from there ? Or within a reasonable travel from Hants?

Hi there I have room to take on your girls as I have lost two oldies this year they will be in a Walk-in-Run but allowed out to FR supervised I am at home all day they will have two RIR'S a black rock two pekins two silkies two pilkies and a frizzle for company

What a shame you aren't closer I would happily have taken them all I have a mix of large & small together wirh no problems in a Secure Walk-in-Run but allowed to FR supervised. I hope you find a good home soon
