Looking at that run I absolutely would NOT leave the pop hole door open at night. It doesnt look fox safe to me. The wire is on the inside of the wooden frame and if a fox ran and bashed it it could get in by staving in the wire. It could also dig under. I am not sure what kind of mesh if it is weld...

Birds dont have lungs like us they have air sacs and are much more lisble to damage from air particles be it smoke, dust or air freshener. Hopefully they will be fine as it was not for long. This is why I detest scented bedding for hens as I believe it can cause respiratory problems. I am sure they ...

I would not put any perches above 18 inches petsonally because of potential foot injuries. Hth

People say a minimum of three. Not overly noisy but I hope you like washing and drying feet!! Have you kept hens before? I would say favorelles make lovely pets, are quite quiet, fancy looking but with clean feet that you wont have to wash. :)

Personally I dont see any harm as long as obviously you are with her at all times and stop her putting her hands in her mouth / clean them straight away. IMO germs never did me any harm x

Just to be aware if your are thinking of getting feathery footed chooks I am finding them a lot of work.
