Re: Fighting Red Mite:- My Story.

Still found nothing better than painting vaseline all over the coop.Sometimes grease if I can get it cheap, and when I did use the modern CREOSOTE I would mix with oil after oil change on car. You have to cover everything in and out,and that includes under the steps if you have them. LUCK

Re: Best Bantam for laying eggs

We keep Laced Wyandottes for the eggs.Five give us
3-4 a day on a regular basis,plenty for us.Also have White
Faverolles,1 cockerel 2 older hens and a 5 month hen,from
which we get 2 every other day but will increase as we breed
3 or 4 more.
Enjoy don't worry.

Re: second hand coop with red mite!!

Has anybody tried for the coop, vaseline or petroleum jelly. We have used this with great success, because once caught in it they cannot get out.It is put all over the coop inside and out, in every joint, hinge and lock.Rain may wash a little off but not much.May seem expensive in the short time but las...

Re: Flies, flies, flies

We have just bought a fly killer off of e-bay,the
type you find in shops. This really does a good job,
and is in part of the coop where the chickens do not
go at night so doe's not disturb them.

PASS WORD-newbie on the loose

Hello folks, Newbie on the loose. This does not belong on here really, but have searched to frustration ( and probably missed it) I am looking to change my pass word. While I am here,I was wondering if anybody knew what it was like living with Faverolles and Chamois please. Thankyou
