Please keep me up to date with your eggs, I'm would love to know what happens..
Still not got any eggs, but I have spent 9 hours outside today roofing my run, my whole body aches and i am sunburnt, I may not be able to climb out of bed tomorrow.

Your new hens look lovely.
You could make a compromise with the hens /grass situation and fence off half of the garden using bamboo canes and fruit netting. A sort of hen Berlin wall (can you tell I've been there with this one?)

Just a thought.... :-D

Thanks Dom,

I will need to be ruthless with the cockerels, I will not give them any names, nor look them in the eye, they will not make it to the brooder and I will become very unpopular with my youngest child (for a short while), so I have to be sure.

Oh dear, I sound mean.....I'm not really.
