im just a newcomer to chickens, but to me that is disgusting,the chickens would not have sufficient space to move around for a start.Definately a NO NO.

I had some bits of scrap metal lying around, so i took them to a welder chap i know, and low and behold i am now the proud owner of a pallet pry bar, ideal for dismantling pallets without bursting the slats.WILL take pics and try and upload them to the forum.

raised bed system

The reason i was asking, was,that my wife is disabled and i have a problem with my back, was thinking it would make life a lot easier for us both, we plan on having at least 4 6ft x 4ft raised beds, where they are going ,we can get right round them all.we also have a 10ft x 8ft polytunnel.

Has anyone else noticed or is it just me, that when you get money off vouchers from Tesco, 90% of the time they are for stuff that you normally dont buy.

Have any of you considered using the drum from an old washing machine or tumble drier as a fire pit, they are made of stainless steel anfd are already perforated.
They do work.

shopping is scary

went shopping to supermarket today , got loaf of bread,6 bread rolls,cold meat for sarnies,and 3 packets of soup £8.90.

So looking forward to growing alll my own veg and keeping chickens .roll on April.
