Re: breakdown cover

I think it can be a lot cheaper from price comparison as a new customer, than if you renew automatically.
Back of my mind - is it insurance companies that now mustn't do that? Or some utilities?

Well, not quite if you look at the timeline from starting this thread
Yes, but compared to the other non-existent posts on here now-a-days it seems a lot.

Re: Short supply ...

Tabitha has the cheap Tesco's biscuits + a small spoonful of tinned twice a day. To stop the tin going off I divide it into pouches to last a couple of days each, then pop them in the small freezer compartment of my fridge. Only get pouches if family are feeding her.

Re: Quail

I suppose people who buy them in the shops are looking for a luxury item (for a dinner party?). People who buy at the door maybe want staples, not little fiddly things.

Re: Short supply ...

I was really annoyed on Sat. Live 10 miles from any big supermarket, so shop when passing. On Tues I detoured on the way home from choir to get Tesco cat food. Out of stock so bought small box of dearer brand to tide me over. Sat I went somewhere else so googled to see if any Ts would still be open ...

What do you use the eggs for. Are they worth the bother of shelling hem?

Are you sure?

Still a few strawberries ripening, but only one at a time, so I nibble as I pass.

Re: How does your garden grow?

I spent over 2 hours today chopping brambles and pulling nettles in a tiny corner of the orchard, where I thought there was a long forked pole to replace the washing prop that broke. Mind you, I don't know how long before that one snaps . Jim cut it so it must be over 6 years old. Not long. In fact...

Re: How does your garden grow?

I was thinking about my fruit tree harvests but my garden is so overgrown ... A patch of brambles took hold in the bed by the glass greenhouse and is now completely blocking the access past the chicken runs. The brambles are even taller than the shed and I can see from the back door that they are f...
