Not tried that brand i still use the farmgate layers as there cheap from a local chicken dealer at only £7.90 a bag for 20 kg .

Compared to the Dobson and horell at £12.49 a bag its a good saving and the chooks seem to prefer them

Pellets made into mash and add peas / sweetcorn Baby spinach £1 a bag Wheatgerm bread meal worms cucumber / cabbage / brocolli stalks chopped and lightly steamed . Worms / maggots and wood lice . Maggie the magpie has been broody for over three weeks . I just put her out for food and water when i get home and shut the pop hole so she cannot sit back in the nest box ...its a real pain . My original 4 from September last year only one ever laid (still is ) . One died within a week , the other died early this year . The two that are left one is great (the layer) the other has never laid and acts old , as in slow and a poor apetite but loveing her freedom The 2 i got in Feb this year ...
