If they are mixing when they free range and are ok i would try but be ready to separate if the big ones are to rough with them. I have mixed bantams and large fowl but seramas are tiny.

My ducks and chickens free range together but have separate pens and houses. people do have them live together. They need enough water to get there heads in to clean their eyes and beak. you can use a kids sandpit or paddling pool but it will need water changing once a week. They are messy but they ...

How do you make your cider? I would like to make some this year and I have never made it before we have loads of apples every year and I can't freeze any more. Also would you make pear cider the same way I love pear cider.

I have a beko chest freezer it is great and a bosch upright freezer which is ok but not worth the extra money we paid for it we by beko appliances now found they last well and don't cost as much as the better named products.

The newspaper wrapping reminds me of my daughters party many years ago I wrapped the pass the parcel up in newspaper one child took a wrapper off and I realised I had used page 3 it was a bit embarrassing but all the parents thought it was funny

My son is at uni he shares a house where all bills are included the only thing he has to pay is internet he manages to buy food have a social life and pay his internet on £65 a week

My ducks which I hatched went onto chicken layers pellets at 14 weeks they have mixed corn in the afternoon. They go mad for lettuce and cucumber. They live in a wooden house low to the ground with no perches or nest box.

I have 2 Blue laced cockerels and 3 blue laced wyandotte hens large fowl lovely girls and lay well. I have been told they go broody a lot but mine never have.

How old are they? They are called point of lay from 16 weeks when they go onto layers pellets so could be a few weeks.

I would get her in the evening put her in the coop when they go to bed then see how they are in the morning if its just a little bullying i would leave her in but if they get nasty then i would split the run and put 1 of your hens in with her for a week but put them all in the coop at night then mix...

This question has probably been ask before i can't find the answer i have a broody hen sitting on 6 eggs they are due to hatch on the 7th July when they hatch i know i need to give them chick crumbs but do i give mum layers pellets or will she eat the chick crumbs and if i do give her layers pellets...

I need some advice please Hubby has built a coop out of recycled plastic for my holiday pens he has built them 1 meter by 1 meter with the nest box on the side how many chickens would you say they would fit ?
