You've missed nothing.
The blueberry muffins I guzzled while watching were good, but the result left a bad taste {rofwl}

Frankly, the press conferences have been far better than any track action by miles. Watching lies, more lies and quite a few pants on fire has been comedy gold. )t'

Re: Sewing imbecile needs advice please.

That's interesting, and something I hadn't thought about at all - pattern makes. I tend to knit from one specific designer and a few similar to her in style, so why not sew from one brand too? The flat cap pattern is Vogue, but as I haven't bought it yet have no idea how it's set out. Everyone else'...

Sewing imbecile needs advice please.

I've sort of (ish) mastered the sewing machine now. Made some curtains, altered and lined some more very heavy curtains and made countless beds/quilts/cushions for the dogs to match our new house. Basically I'm a total novice with a sewing machine fit for a king. (So it's far too good for me) It's a...

We have no roof fore the hen's paddock (it's big) but do have a covered area for my horses to use that's been up for many years. It's the clear plastic 'wriggly tin' as they call it here. So far only a few small holes have appeared and we had one sheet break in very extreme winds. The holes are all ...

Re: What age to neuter?

{rofwl} I'm hoping he will be easier to train than the two human (ish) teenagers in the house Now don't go getting over ambitious - teenagers cannot be trained on any level We've mainly had rescue dogs at about six months to about ten months through our lives and all have already been neutered. Nev...

No, Australia is highlights again. All the races that are at silly UK hours are highlights only this year, with the BBC showing only ten live. On the live weekends they're showing P1 to 3, Q1 to 3 and the race all live and for the rest just shortened Qualifying and races. So some weeks it's too much...

That's the one I saw.
Think we were shown only half the story there - but that's the nature of TV.

Re: How much for eggs

I sell mine in my little pet food shop at £1.20 for half dozen. Thing is, I have more orders than eggs most weeks except in high laying season. Mine include between one and three green eggs per box, huge ex battery eggs, tiny Shetland eggs and whatever else our misfit collection produce, so look gre...

I'll lend you a greedy pony or two .... Oddly, we've always found rare breeds to be bigger 'grazers' than hybrids. Marans, and other meat breeds of chicken, for example eat large amounts of our grass. To be fair though, they also ruin everything with they big meaty legs digging. With that in mind .....

)piicy( I am really curious No idea how to - I'm a pooter imbecile They've surprised me, these hens. Only young, not even Point-of-Lay (though they were sold with an egg in their cage to hint they were), they've settled very well in our large mixed group of reprobate exbatts, rare breeds and assort...

Have to say I too enjoyed it and look forward to next year's story.

Mildly disappointed in the ending, though it's character rather than plot led so that isn't as important.

Formula 1 2015

The soap opera has started again. Briefly, the news is - Alonso has a tough skull. Hamilton a weak stomach and no girlfriend. Rosberg's having a baby. They can't alter the design of their helmets any more (even for charity). They're worried regulation haircuts will be next after the above. The new t...

Finally got my Naked Necks!

After years of searching, I finally got some Transilvanian Naked Necks by complete accident yesterday. Was in my shop at York Auction Centre when a friend asked me to go look at some antique furniture in the auction. Our path happened to take us past the chicken auction and there they were, two well...

Gwen - We've finally decided to make barn owl boxes too. The barn on next door's farm (about 500 yds away) used to host a pair but they died during a harsh winter and no new ones have settled, so we're hoping to encourage them back by offering alternative housing in one of our big willows. We alread...
