Re: Who is making for Christmas?

I always start with good intentions, being home all the time i should really get my ass in gear. But what with one thing and another never seem to get any homemade things done. I do try to do the sausage rolls though, its only me that likes xmas cake. And the mince pies are from sainsbury's they are...

Re: Crumble is not recognised as food help!

They will soon get used to the crumb/pellets. If you are trying to not buy the mash then carry on as you are. If they are hungry, trust me they will eat it! As they are free ranging they are getting extra food anyway. It will take a while for them, but mash is all they know.Just keep offering it. Tr...

Re: No eggs, what's going on?? Help!

I'm sure the eggs will come back. Chickens do go off lay at certain times, if they are all eating/drinking ok then just let them get on with it. After keeping hens for over 6 years, eggs will go up and down, but your's look very healthy girls. )t'

Re: What do you do when you go away and leave hens at home?

I tried leaving my coop door open last year. It was very hot at the time, and they were fine. But the problem i had was this. When a fox came to visit in the garden, my big girl saw it and went crazy. They are in a very secure run, and although the fox would never have gotten in, they made a terribl...

Re: Stace's Chooks

She has gotten slower over the past weeks, but up until today was still eating/drinking ok. Today she is sat in the nest box, her comb is very blue/purple, and she l...
