Re: Chicken beaks chipped at the end

As far as I am aware beaks do grow and the bird will wear it down naturally foraging and wiping on stone etc, however if they have been de-beaked and it has been cauterized then it doesn't, they did do this as day old's I think or older to stop them doing damage to each other in the cages etc I have...

Re: Lethargic, watery poop and water coming from beak?

I personally wouldn't rule our sour crop, one of mine had it and it didn't smell, another had it and it made me wretch, if she is bringing the water up from the beak it is obviously not going from the crop downwards, I would see how she is, feel the crop and see if it is squishy, it can be a sign of...

Re: Positive about sorting my weight this time...

I am feeling happy today. Have been dieting to no effect whatsoever (apart from frustration and depression) and this morning I felt that my waist was a bit thinner so jumped on the scales and weigh 3lb less! I'll be happy for about a fortnight now. Little things..... That is brilliant well done, it...

Re: Runny egg and shell

I have a hen who laid an egg with no shell at all, when it landed on the coop floor it looked like a fried egg that hadn't been fried, it was just lucky she laid it as I lifted the coop door, worried me but she was right as rain after )t'
