Re: Would anyone like to sponsor an ex batt ?

People at work give donations for my hens eggs towards their feed so I will sponsor a couple of these poor hens out of the funds and post the pics at work to raise awareness. I got 4 hens from Kathryn last year and saw what a great set up she has and appreciate the hard work that goes into rescuing ...

Re: Yoga and its embarrassing side affects!

All went well tonight although as you can imagine I sighed with relief at the end of the session DD had her own embarrassing incident, she fell asleep flat on her back arms and legs spread wide, the teacher was lovely and said just leave her. When she woke the rest of the class were all in a sitting ...

Yoga and its embarrassing side affects!

My 15 year old daughter and I decided to take up yoga and went to our first session last week. My sister warned me that this type of exercise can cause people to let 'their wind go free' and to be prepared for hearing and experiencing this personally. Not me I thought and hoped that if others did th...

Re: How do you view your hens ?

One of my hens, Millie a millifleur Pekin is very different to the others. She loves to be petted and enjoys being stoked and having the side of her neck scratched/rubbed much like a dog. She will happily sit on me to have attention and seems to enjoy me talking to her. The others are used to me but...

Re: Meet Dolly

Thank you, she's settled in really quickly and is now prancing past the dogs and hissing if they look at her! They are used to living with cats so have a lot of respect for those claws She is not worried about pushing in when the dogs are on my knee to get pride of place...on my shoulder eventually,...

Re: Tales of a new puppy

Miss Ellie, what a pretty girl she is! I think crate training is the best way to go, I used that method with all of mine. All of a sudden they seem able to hold it longer than 20 minute and it does get easier. She seems to have a lot of spaniel in her and IMO that breed really want to please and are...
