Help With Container Carrots, Please~

Since Mallard's carrots do so well in a container, and mine do horribly in our ground, I want to try out the container....the only thing I have is a big plastic, square tub. It's big enough for us. The question I have is will it be harmful to the carrots' roots , being a white, nearly transparent tub?

It is when we try so hard to keep the garden nice, look after the hens and grow our own and both work full time }hairout{

Thanks Lillia, I just cannot see anything that could be a sensor. I can not find any way to contact the manufacturer either when I Google them.
