Bruised ribs
Bruised ribsSome of you may already know I've got bruised ribs at the moment.
Blimey it's blooming painful Managed to do them coughing during the time I had that chest infection/bug/lesser thing to what Hubbly had. They started to feel right, so, as you do, I started doing more last Wednesday. Well come the evening the pain was back with avengence Been having regular pain relief, along with application of diclofenac gel and ice packs. It all takes the edge off but still very painful. I've tried completely (well, almost) resting, doing things and it still hurts. I know there's nothing that can be done really for ribs, as it's not like you can stop breathing is it Feeling a bit sorry for myself, each day I think it's getting a bit better then I'll have a big sneeze, cough or giggle and it really hurts. Bev x

I hope you feel better soon. I know what you mean about "it's not like you can't stop breathing" I hate it when my ribs get inflamed, there's just no comfy position because you need to breath!
Re: Bruised ribsgentle hugs Bev ,hope you have relief from the pain soon, must be wearing you down.
Re: Bruised ribsPoor you Bev Hopefully the pain won't be with you for much longer and you will then feel your usual lovely self.
I am now a widow and live with my memories.

If you can't be a good example........ you will just have to be a horrible warning Re: Bruised ribsOh dear, Bev, take care, and get well soon.
Re: Bruised ribsThanks all of you
I've started taking codeine now, which in turn is making me sleepy and forcing me to rest. Finally, think I'm getting somewhere with it Bev x

Re: Bruised ribsLittle update.
I think the ho-rrible's are getting better. This last few days not as painful. I can blow my nose, yawn and giggle without being in excrutiating pain. Sneezing is still a bit awful, but we're getting there. Phew Bev x

Re: Bruised ribsGlad you are feeling better, have a good day and don`t go bonkers if you are going swimming.
Re: Bruised ribsSorry you're having a rough time, Bev. Somebody once quoted to me 'this too, will pass', and I found it helpful to think that way.
