How many of you have had your Covid jab?

Post by fabindia »

Interested to know how it's going back UK. The weather looks as if has been awful so won't help with older people going out to get vaccinated.

Stay safe folks.

I think I read that one centre had cancelled sessions because of weather. 12 days in, must be getting some immunity by now.

We had the Oxford one last Sunday. Was surprised when they phoned me as I thought they were still doing the over 70's and I am still 65, but other half got a text message and a couple of days later they phoned me.

Felt like rubbish for quite a few days afterwards, think we are okay now {rofwl}

How are you Gwen? Have you been well enough to have your vaccine yet?

My oldest son who is fifty four, and a type two diabetic, using insulin, has an appointment for his jab a week tomorrow. I was surprised that it was going to be so soon, but perhaps it is because he has a school taxi contract, and takes children of keyworkers.

I have heard of one person in a nearby village being quite ill for a few days, post jab.

Thanks for asking, Spreckly.
I have finished taking my ab's this morning and they rang me to go for the vaccination a week on Friday as they said the ab's would be out of my system by then, so booked in at 10a.m.
Glad to hear everyone is ok now after jabs.

Had to cancel yet again my vaccination as am once again on ab's as previous two lots have not worked.
I am really teed off with this continuous infection.
Upside my knee is getting better and better and I am now on full time duty regarding the chickens which does feel good if I am honest.

I'm surprised that the vaccination has been cancelled as antibiotics will not affect the vaccine but I suppose may be due to not risking making you feel more poorly than you are. Fingers crossed the antibiotics work this time round.

Had my 1st jab today (the AZ vaccine) I have to say that I thought the whole thing was very well organised - I got the letter invite on Friday, booked online for a time slot. When I arrived, there were hundreds of people on site walking from the car park zones (which was well sign-posted with attendants directing people) so I had visions of standing in a long queue - the most probably just 2 minutes at the entrance and then through various check-ins and confirmation before being vaccinated - no more than 5 minutes from start to finish and then sitting around for 15 minutes afterwards before leaving. I was well-impressed how quickly it went.

Glad it went well.

I have had a text from our doctors' surgery asking me to book an appointment so need to get on to that tomorrow.

I had my first Astra-Zenica jab this morning.

Again, so well organised at our local medical centre - in and out in 10 minutes. Just feeling a bit fluey tonight, though hopefully that won't last long and I am sure it is a 100 times better than getting Covid.
