hens and cockeral wanted

i have been given a small barn on a farm where i shoot,i want to keep chickens again so im after about 30 hens and a cockeral or two.so if anybody has any amount they wish to donate to a good home,run of farm and all corn they can eat please get in touch.would prefer birmingham or surrounding areas but may travel further

Hello Fazzer.
Welcome to the forum.
I heard on the news the other day our local RSPCA has had hens and cockerels gifted in. So that maybe a way to go.
I know there is an amount of hens to a cockeral, but I don't know the ratio. I am sure someone will help out. Not enough girls and he wears them out.

hi thanks for info {hug&kiss} ..was hoping the hens would wear cockeral out,might keep him quiet.

it always sends me to sleep :oops: per haps might give them a miss then dont want to upset the old couple in cottage.

Shame about the boys, they are always in need of homes. For that very reason. The girls are quiet though.

picked up my first 20 hens today,well chuffed.still want more though got plenty of room :-D
