I don't know if it was just me last night, but when they added the three new people all I could think of was handbags at dawn and how much it reminded me of adding new hens to an existing flock.

Um, I don't know where that came from but I reckon there is going to be tears before bedtime on BB11 now!!! :-D

I think Josie will end up decking one of the two new girls, when they make a play for JJ. }hairout{

Oh my how did I miss this post?

Hubbs and I love BB!! Mainly because before we got together (6yrs ago today) we used to sit on the floor in his lounge and snuggle up watching the live feed usually till about 4am and then I'd go back home. That series was with Nadia that won it and their task at that time was being sentry guards or something and there had to be two housemates awake all night and it was funny.

Have loved BB ever since. I think its brilliant some of the tasks they have to do and the rows are funny, but I must admit, this year with Josie (love her) and JJ, they way they bounce off one another is so funny. Bluebell, I think you may be right, Josie probably will thump one of those two new girls if they make a play for JJ.

I think the "Tree of Temptation" is absolutely class! Why didnt they do it before!!

The chickens were indeed in the first series, and I named one of my first ex batts after the lovely Marjorie :-D

I think its also fab that Josie keeps chickens, she gets my support, plus she's lovely anyway and funny too. I cant remember the other housemate who has chooks??

Totally glad that it’s finishing, perhaps we can get away from the Pseudo-celeb culture that blights our society.

Dave, I have to be honest and say that this is the only bit of reality tv I have ever watched, I was always in the same camp as you, thought they were rubbish - I've obviously got too much time on my hands late at night when it is on, I am somewhat amazed that you get these non-entities who think they are going to leave the BB house and be in OK magazine, earn hundreds of thousands of quid and become not only world famous singers, models, actors, journalists, fashionistas - erm you name it they are going to be it {rofwl}

I think this series has got me viewing occasionally cos like Taz I like the Tree of Temptation, I would like to be Tree of Temptation and get them doing silly tasks and telling them to p**s off and do it!!! 8)

Dave, I promise, after this I'm gonna be a good girl and not watch utter g*rb*ge again )grin2(

I USED to be a big fan back in the early days. They used to have tasks which went on for 2-3 days......now it is just a load of oddbods living in a small house.

But some of them do earn lots of cash for being.....erm........celebrities. People flock to buy the latest gossip printed in the numerous glossy publications eating up newsagent shelf space. At the moment we are in the longest armed conflict of modern time, longer than either world wars, there is oil pouring out of a deep sea well comprising possibly the worst ecological disaster of its kind ever and numerous other report worthy topics but we find that the public aren’t interested unless it has the details of some sordid celeb related speculation.
We have as a nation switched off to reality and switched on to reality TV, I would guess that there would have been less people tuning in to see HFW or Jamie highlighting the horrors of battery farming than were tucking into their chicken dippies whilst perched in front of the telly gawking at mr Cow-hells latest phone vote talent show.

Saint Spoon, you're absolutely right!

The thing about celeb shows, reality TV, even sport - it's so cheap and easy for TV to do! None of that awkward script-writing, rehearsals, staging, OBs and all the paraphanelia, just point the camera and shoot.

Cheap TV for a cheap age.

The majority of things I enjoy watching on television are factual programmes, which I find both educational and informative. I hardly ever used to watch television, but as I am on my own now I find just putting television on in the evening doesn't make me feel alone.

There are far too many repeats shown. Came in from feeding horse the other evening switched television on and made a cup of coffee, sat watching a programme and then realised the same thing had been on about three days earlier. What is that all about????

I thought it quite clever (well as far as BB can be) to have Andrew pretend to be Jack from 24. He looked ever so pleased with his prize (and the three young ladies attention).

When my daughter was 8 her teacher set English homework to write about a Reality TV programme.
She wrote about Blue Peter's water for Africa programme and was told by the teacher that this was not a reality TV programme.
Her reply to teacher was "It is. It's real people doing real things for real people not a load of strange people being put in an unreal situation to do stupid things to each other"
