Something for Ilona ('The Outdoor Life')

Post by Richard »

There's a new comedy series called 'The Outdoor Life' starting tonight on BBC4.
It's about a group / club of Ramblers.

Don't know if it's any good.

If it is Ilona, let me know and I'll catch up on iplayer as I'm watching 'Coast'.

It could be fun, it has got Ruth Jones from Gavin and Stacey and a couple of the cast from larkrise if I read the review correctly. June is recording it for me.

I like niche type programmes about something you yourself can associate with, you can always relate someone in them to someone you know!!!

9pm BTW.

Ness from Gavin and Stacey, Thomas from Larkrise and the girl who plays the receptionist in Doc Martin. A bit off beat but worth the half hour viewing IMO.

Just watched it. This type of comedy programme is not normally my cup of tea, but I'll stick around to see how the characters develop, because of the walking theme.

Have you spotted any characters that you recognise from your rambling exploits?

Yes I have, SS. I tag along with walking groups ocassionally, but to be honest, I think I would only tag along once with this lot. Hence why I mainly walk alone. )grin2(

Have just caught up with the second and third episodes. I do hope that they make another series as it did amuse me.
It reminds me somewhat of an angling club to which I belong, at least some of the characters do.

Blimey, I forgot about this. I've been watching Julia Bradbury walking Coast to Coast. Think I might have a go at that. :-D
