Natural World

Post by bluebell »

I remember watching a couple of tv programmes some years ago about Echo, the Elephant. Just watched Natural World programme to learn that this lovely elephant died last year aged 65.

I will always remember the little calf she had, who had problems walking at first because of muscle/tendon problems. Other mothers would have left their young behind, but Echo and her daughter Enid stood by him and guided him for the first few days of his life until he managed to get better at walking.

Lots of tears watching this programme the other evening.

I didn't realise how big they were.

We have been watching the trailers for Martin Clunes new prog about the horse. Can't quite decide if he is in the company of Monty Roberts hope he is. We have seen Monty twice up at Gleneagles the 1st time was unforgettable as he was still riding during his demos , the 2nd time still thought provoking if not quite as exciting. We bought his book of the time which he signed ,a good read what a life he has led and his heart is enormous. One person we would certainly invite round our fantasy dinner table ! ^b: )eat(
It will be alright in the end , if its not alright, it isn't the end .

It looked like he was with Monty Roberts.

I've seen Monty Roberts demonstrations several times, one of which was a friends stallion that he took a shine to. Always come away crying when you see the horses who are phobic about trailers being loaded. AMAZING!! :-D

Whoops, went a little bit off topic there. Looking forward to watching this programme. )t'
