Aldi magic bagsAldi magic bagsMy son sent me a link about the above. These bags have to be booked, and cost £3.30 each, think I have got the price right. My nearest Aldi is over ten miles away, so I will not be using this, but hoping my son will book and bring on4 me at the weekend.

Re: Aldi magic bagsBasically it is a bag of food that would normally go to waste:
ALDI Food worth about £10 which cost £3.30p when you sign up to it. If the food is close to the use by date then it would perhaps benefit families rather than single people (unless sharing with others) I think also it depends on what you get (hence the surprise) - if you get salad stuff or chilled foods, then they will need to be eaten fresh whereas something like veg, meat or bread could be popped into a freezer to use later. Looking forward to hearing back from Spreckly of how it goes .... Re: Aldi magic bagsThanks for the details, LL. I haven't ordered one yet, my son would bring a bag at the weekend if I do order.
I follow a couple on You Tube who live in Portugal, and they have recently had a similar shop. The asking price for the bag was two pounds, and they unpacked it on the video. To me it looked as if there was about twenty pounds worth of goods in it, some fresh, some tins and fruit. They actually donated five pounds for the contents. Re: Aldi magic bagsSainsbury & Lidl do something similar - boxes of random fruit & veg available (or not) in some supermarkets.
