I like it, I like it a lot. Cant think of anything to do with it though, except of course to put some wire on the top and use it for an isolation box for any ill chooks. It would be ideal as up off the floor, so no draughts and not too much bending for you when dealing with said chook.

What a breat find. If I'm being sensible I'd say it will make a really lovely sewing box and Helen's idea for covering it sound perfect.
If I'm being unsensible I'd say it looks perfect for stashing at least half a dozen Bacardi bottles
