I've got to agree, A few year ago now we extended the run and used medium sized chicken wire (not cheap!) it was fixed well and taught, with horizontal wires etc.
Before we could get the top on it, I was playing with our dogs and the ball went into the new run, it took our dog Ty about 3 seconds to grip, tug and make a large hole in the chicken wire!! Ty is a terrier cross, not a large dog at all.. if he could do it in that time, imagine what a fox can do with all night to spare!
Needless to say we doubled up the existing wire with a very fine mesh size.. so far so good, but will definately be using weld mesh to replace all the fine chicken wire as soon as we can afford it.
(Our duck run was built later and we used weld mesh from Hills of Devon, it worked out cheaper than the chicken wire.. )
