There is an end, I can't iron Some days you're the pigeon, some days you're the statue.
Re: Tin can lanternsI found that idea on the net a few weeks ago and was saving a load of cat food tins with nice smooth sides, I had about ten .. Tony put the bins out and thought he'd do me a favour by popping all the cans out for recycling !!

Re: Tin can lanterns
Nah, I got me a woman Some days you're the pigeon, some days you're the statue.
Re: Tin can lanternsSo she is all smooth and you are still crinkly and crumpled then. LOL

Re: Tin can lanternsThose look really well
I've tried it before but always ended up denting the tin - where am I going wrong? Do you need a really sharp nail? Waiting to welcome Sunny Clucker to Northern Ireland!
Re: Tin can lanternsI was wondering that too Sarah.

Re: Tin can lanterns
There's two ways, fill it with water then freeze it for two days, of have a piece of 2x1/2 in the vice to press down on, that's the way I did it couldn't wait for it to freeze! The implement you use to make the holes needs to be really sharp, I made a tool from a six inch nail, filed it to a point and left a shoulder to act as a stop. Some days you're the pigeon, some days you're the statue.
Re: Tin can lanternsI saw these on Pinterest the other day which I thought were pretty.
