Follow my blog: http://girlontheplot.blogspot.co.uk/ Just make sure my think works are wound extra tight, and I will formulate a plan! Re: greenhouseOver the years I have built quite a few, but never for myself.
I'm in the process of collecting the timber at the moment, to build one, which should end up like this, hopefully. It won't be ready for this season, but if I get the time it should be up and running for the next one. If a man is alone in the garden and speaks, and there is no woman to hear him, is he still wrong?
Re: greenhouseThanks for replies I was just asking because I need one but are expensive so wondered if anyone had built one
Re: greenhouseI built one last november for the coming season, 2x2 framing with 3/4 x3x4 battons to hold the glass in, looked really impressive.
I've just replaced all the glass with mesh as er indoors wanted it as a duck run, complete waste of my time and energy, every pane of glass held in by 8 separate battons, all cut individually to size, over a 6x4 greenhouse that's a lot of battons. They're nice ducks though. Some days you're the pigeon, some days you're the statue.
Re: greenhouseHow much do you think it would cost if I were to hire someone to do it or maybe can I have a prebuilt one?

Re: greenhouse
Built from scratch materials and labour would set you back at least 33,308.19 PHP but I guess material and labour costs are a lot lower in the Philippines. Also I wouldn't have thought there was a need for a greenhouse where you live. Dom Ali Woks My World
Re: greenhouseI built one a few years ago. The frame was 2X3 with a 1X1 beading round the inside of each glass section.
The glass, I collected old double glazing windows from the local builder for nothing and cut through the rubber i.e. two good glass panes held in place with nails knocked into the 2X3. In total cost me next to nothing but took about 4/5 months getting the glass. |
