Built-in wardrobes.
Built-in wardrobes.Have started to put in some built-in wardrobes in youngest son's bedroom, in fact we are doing the whole room, new ceiling and coving, skimming the walls, repairing and lining the floor, some minor electrical changes and mounting the TV on the wall .
Made a start on the wardrobe doors using 18mm MDF, routed some grooves into the MDF to make it look like panelled doors, and glued and tacked a wood border, the wardrobe will be painted white, I will post more pictures as I progress with the job! I am old and wise, because I was young and stupid!.
Re: Built-in wardrobes. This looks an interesting job, they look good SB. Look forward to the next lot of photo,s
Dont ever grow up, its a trap
Re: Built-in wardrobes.Looks good SB, sounds like a great project

Woody Allen Re: Built-in wardrobes.Looks good to me too. Well done that man.
Re: Built-in wardrobes.Just wondering how the wardrobes are coming on. Anymore piccies?
Re: Built-in wardrobes.Hi Gwen, progress has slowed somewhat!, due to me being on call the last couple of weeks . Just a couple of pic's, new ceiling has gone up and plastered with a patch of plaster on the wall that had blown, now bonded and waiting for plastering, and a couple of plug points put in! .
I am old and wise, because I was young and stupid!.
Re: Built-in wardrobes. As long as its progressing, the speed doesnt matter providing its finished eventually. You cant be in two places at once now, can you? LOL
Have to say, SB its looking good.
Re: Built-in wardrobes. As I mentioned before "slow but steady!", just a couple of update photos, the coving has gone up, first lick of paint has gone on, and we fitted a new double glazed window, as the old one was looking very tired!!

Re: Built-in wardrobes.Progressing nicely, SB.
It is amazing when you start a project just how many more things you find need doing and how things all of a sudden look ;not too good' while work is in progress and you may as well do those jobs as well while your upside down. LOL
Re: Built-in wardrobes. Finally finished his lordships bedroom , new electrics, new window, new wardrobe, new carpet and floor, and new bed .
New LED lights. New wardrobe. New floor and carpet. New bed, Panda was given to Adam by my eldest brother, and Fred Flintstone was given to him by his Grandad, he still has them on his bed despite being 28yrs old I am old and wise, because I was young and stupid!.
Re: Built-in wardrobes.Looks great SB the wardrobe is lovely.
Its nice to see a bloke with his teddy bears. My OH still has his ted but he lives in the cupboard these days (the ted, not my OH) - although it's not a bad idea now I come to think about it ....... The talent for being happy is appreciating and liking what you have, instead of what you don't have
Woody Allen Re: Built-in wardrobes.Ooops, missed this. It looks really good, SB. Your a very clever man.
Just one question though, sorry. Are there any knobs/handles on the wardrobe....cant seem to see any or perhaps I should go to Specsavers.
Re: Built-in wardrobes.Hi Gwen, well spotted, there were no handles when I took the photo!, but have since put on wooden ones painted white, doors have magnetic catches!

Re: Built-in wardrobes. So I dont need Specsavers just yet then?
It really does look very professional, SB. Is his Lordship suitably impressed? |
