painting pipes & radspainting pipes & radsWe have removed a pipe cover (useless as it wouldn't stay on), so have bare copper pipes. The white finish on the rad is slightly chipped, so we thought we'd gloss it Magnolia to match the room.
What preparation do we need (not perfectionist, just want the paint to stick). Dance caller. http://mo-dance-caller.blogspot.co.uk/p/what-i-do.html

Re: painting pipes & radsJust make sure the surface is clean, dirt and grease free, like you would a wall and paint.

Re: painting pipes & radsDo I need any sort of primer on copper?

Re: painting pipes & radsI've done it using metal primer first and also just using gloss or emulsion and have not really noticed any real difference in the finish. It may stay looking better for a bit longer with primer but not so you'd notice and it only takes a trice to touch up if it really needs it.

Re: painting pipes & radsI'll take the easy way then.

Cut to length accurately. Silly price but fit and forget.
