The girls are settling in well, they are coming and watching us when we are in the garden. Quick question, do all veg peelings need boiling or just potatoes?

Wartime advice said that hens couldn't digest potato unless it was cooked, and didn't gain much nutrition from it even cooked, so I don't usually give them it.
Other veg should be OK raw.
Mine won't eat carrot or runner beans, but like cabbage etc. - I have some old brussel sprouts stalks in the garden and I keep pulling them up and giving them one.
