First double yoker !!!
First double yoker !!!My lovely ladies have been laying each day since we had them, 2 a day most days ! We are fairly sure the layers are Gertie and Daffodil, both stoop down when we stand over them and Daffodil has the reddest comb and wattle ? My daughter wanted poached eggs for tea last night so cracked open one of the eggs and hey presto double yoker !!! Poppy said they are much better than shop bought eggs !!!
Just waiting for my other two ladies to start laying but we are in no rush Busy full time working mum to two gorgeous girls, 5 posh birds, a cat called Brambles, a kitten called Buttons , wife to Adrian, and novice gardener loving the good life just call me Barbara !!!

Re: First double yoker !!! That's great! I got them every day for a week or so from my white girls, shortly after they began to lay, then no more from them since!
Last week I got 2 almost normal size blue and green eggs from Jake and Ellwood - I thought at last the eggs were getting slightly bigger. But no, the blue one was a double yolker with 2 teeny yolks! Have yet to eat the green one, but I think it's the same! Ha ha ha Glad your litte girl enjoyed it! Helen xx

Re: First double yoker !!!My Magpie missed a day and then gave us a double in a BIG egg!
The Blue is still laying little eggs - no doubles yet. The Light Sussex is still laying teeny eggs and her 2nd was a double - so very, very, very small She also lost one at 6am this morning, it dropped straight out of her and onto the ramp as I opened it. Cracked and dirty! Oddy we still got 3 eggs at midday!! Not sure how that happened! 1 dumbo rat still without a name; 2 top eared rats Octavia and Ursula

Re: First double yoker !!![img] Hi to one and all.I am an old newbee who has been getting lot's
of advice from some very friendly people on DTL.I am probably putting this in the wrong place, for which I apologize. Trouble is ,I cannot seem to find the right place for a new post!!! I did not think I would have anything to post ,until I opened up my chuckies this morning and found this. 3'' x 2'' 125 grams.obviously from my SPECKLEDY. http://lh4.ggpht.com/_QDL8_9KL5Ck/TGpeh ... 0GRAMS.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;[/img]
Re: First double yoker !!!You can go `off` people you know. The friends who buy oir eggs have had several double yolkers, and they have them in the order they come off the skelter.
We havnt had even 1 in nearly 11 months. lorna I`m not a teacher for nothing, you know!! If I was clever, I`d be dangerous.
