Don't worry about the girls, we keep most of the cockerels individually, away from each other and the rest of the girls, they're pets that way. Wouldn't forget the names of my dogs if I had as many, you just find a way to remember don't you? :)

Elna and Ingrid (after my husband's sisters, haven't told hubby.... yet)
Olive Oil, because she loves spinach
Betty Boop,
Gerty, because I always wanted a chicken called Gerty
Jessica because she's red (Who kiled roger rabbit).

I named mine after the Spice Girls, because of their colouring, So they are Posh leader of the group and very full of herself, Ginger definitely because of her colouring, Scary because she was tall and gangly, Sporty well she runs very fast and Baby obviously the smallest.
Oh my goodness what a sad person ( I’m not even a fan of the real Spice Girls)

Bluebelle - Cos that's her hybrid name and I thought it was pretty.
Lacey - Black Star - She has a brown 'lacey' pattern on her chest.
Shirley - (Bassey) another Black Star, tall and slender and doesn't stop singing! :-D
Lucy - White Star - tall, pretty and I don't know why we thought of that name.
May-Mays - Amber Star - Don't ask!!
We had a brown hen called Ginger (how original) but she was a bully to the 2 white hens so had to go back to be replaced by another Amber Star who we haven't named yet.

My new girls are called -

Marge, cos she's in charge, 8)
Dottie, cos she's a bit potty,
Aggie, cos she's a bit scraggy. :?

Silly I know but it kept us entertained for ages working these out and they really suit their names after only 2 days! :-D

Mine have "old ladies names" as I think all hens should and are called:

Ruby & June (Lohmann type hybrids)
Gladys & Freda (Bovans Neras)
Clementine & Daisy (Marans hybrids) - the posh birds!

I'm still having difficulty in telling Clem & Daisy apart to tell you the truth - only had them four days! :-D

I have 3 chooks, Dawn, Pandora and Gurtrude...
I dream of a better world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned!!!
