Oh bother!

Post by p.penn »

Well, that is the very polite version of what I actually said a few minutes ago!

I collected the eggs - 3 today! )c( Very pleased as not been getting many of late. So I popped them into the egg rack with the other 8 or so (without getting it off it's hook as I was in a hurry) and the whole thing fell off and broke all my eggs. yike* }hairout{

Quite aside from losing the eggs, the mess was unbelievable - all down the wall, over the floor/recycling bin/demijohns/dog bowls/pipes/trays...etc etc etc. I scraped up what I could, then let Bailey have a treat before washing it all down.

Oh well, as they say 'More haste.....'. >dum<

Oh bother indeed! At least bailey would've enjoyed his unexpected treat.

Egg yolk is really difficult to get off sometimes. I would have gone balistic if that had happened to me. Once had eggs chucked at our front door, and it was all set hard by the time we realised.

Beat this... Last week I collected a day and a half's worth of eggs (41 altogether) into my usual plastic collection tub. Put it down whilst I locked the chicken shed up, then promptly fell over it in the dark, breaking the lot.

}hairout{ :oops:

It winds me up when I break one or two, but this.... {mr.angry}
