I'm now a chicken keeper!

Post by hel »

I have just picked up my girls, 6 Columbian Blacktails, in their first laying season from a friend who had rather too many. They are beautiful. WIll post pics when they've had a chance to settle.

I hope you've got a comfy chair & a glass or six of something nice to enhance the chicken-watching experience!

Hopefully that will work! They have a much larger run to go into as well as the little one attached to the coop. However at the moment there is a rather large log that is covered in moss in there, do I need to remove it or will they enjoy pecking at it?

Oh they look lovely! I am getting mine tomorrow and am so excited!! I am in Devon too. While walking the dog this morning I was looking at all the chickens in the village(lots of people have them here!) and I was like" I'll have chickens tomorrow"!!

Enjoy your girls! )t'
