My friend had three turkeys and named them Mohawk, Sioux and Pawnee. Don't ask me why!
I think naming chooks after flowers is a nice idea. )t'

Ours was naming by committee. Lol
Our first 6 were, Wilma and Betty. Betty is still with us 4 years after rescue. Then there were Ham, Eggs and Chips and Atilla, named by my grown up children. {rofwl} chips is still with us even though she survived a fox attack.
Then came Olive, Iris, Molly and Kate named after family members.
Think my next 3 will be Bosh, Pecks and Boots :-D
