Re: Jannie's 2012 Diary
.. .. seriously ..I actually suggested that to hubby today .. we had to fell 2 Holme Oaks yesterday as they were infected with Phytophthora ramorum .. the desease that killed all the Japanese larch trees!! .. I'm worried it might appear on other plants so I now have this picture in my head of the whole garden covered in a dome to protect it. Re: Jannie's 2012 DiaryAww Jannie, we were talking about that when we met, I do hope it doesn't affect anything else in your garden, I know I banter with you, but you love your garden and it loves you.
Eden Project vs Valley Project
Re: Jannie's 2012 Diaryyou know what happens when I get an image in my head.
sadly this time I'll have to stick to keeping my fingers crossed and daily checks Re: Jannie's 2012 Diary
Re: Jannie's 2012 DiaryI feel as though I'm now on top of everything in the garden .. spent yesterday looking for things to do .. dug up a few more potatoes to make room for the squashes
In the front garden I put in the supports for the perennials and tied in a wisteria that keep insisting on growing up the wrong pillar on the pergola Everything is looking healthy despite having had the 2 deseased holme oaks. must change the fleece over the cabbages for some fine netting .. it's spoiling the view a bit.. Also sowed some more courgettes, radish, beetroot and salad leaves whilst Hubby finished grouting the courtyard paving Re: Jannie's 2012 DiaryI agree Jannie spoils the look, but when you have tidied up a bit am sure it will be lovely
Re: Jannie's 2012 DiaryI knew you'd agree Perchy!! ..
Re: Jannie's 2012 Diary

Re: Jannie's 2012 DiaryAww thank you Sara .. It's a good feeling growing your own isn't? .. even after all these years I still get a thrill cooking food I've grown myself
Re: Jannie's 2012 DiaryMine are in the pollytunnel! Everything is doing really well up here! I like to think that when I am still tucking into fresh veg, going into winter you will be going to the shop And I like green tomatoes and tiny courgettes.
