Can always trust you to come up with a good party plan Perchy!!!
Thank you all for your kind comments .. It will be a lovely place to sit! .. all the new planting is edible .. so as long as I remember to take the wine out with me I can stay there all day. ..I expect we'll have most of our meals there in the nice weather ..and it's a big enough area to BBQ with all the family too.
Had a closer look at the apple and pear trees and it looks like there's a good crop
It's raining here today .. that lovely gentle rain that the plants love .. just wish I'd finished planting out the dahlias.
Perchy you may find that when you locate the dahlis tubers that they may already be shooting so get them in asap , cover with a pop bottle at night to keep the nasty slugs away and they should be ok . I have just found a tuber in a pot in the greenhouse and it has a little shoot so now its out in the garden. Jannie all my pears have dropped off , think its been too dry and although I kept greenhouses and veg patches watered I forgot about the trees
It will be alright in the end , if its not alright, it isn't the end . Quote from the proprietor of the The best exotic Marigold Hotel for the elderly and beautiful
You didn't take your Dahlias to Helen's did you Perchy ?
Sorry about your pears Annie ..This is the first year mine have set so I'm really excited I also have to mention that I spotted my first figs today ..will get a pic when it stops raining

Finally got the Dahlias out this afternoon then had an hour in the greenhouse tying the tomatoes and cucumbers in.. second trusses have formed on toms.
and the basket Toms are covered in flowers..
then had a wander around the garden bug hunting .. everything is growing really fast ..the peas are setting..
Aww Jannie, what's happened to your tomatoes? maybe next years will be better, don't be disheartened and maybe the rest of the garden will get better over time
I was so pleased with my toms, they are 6 ", I've just put them in grow bags, My peas are also coming along at almost 2 " I'm hoping it is 'cos I'm up North
