Here is the current state of play with my cushion. I have ground to a bit of a halt as I seem to have lost the ability to concentrate (ie count!) just recently! Too much going on in my head!

Knitting Intarsia!Re: Knitting intarsia HELP!!That's really lovely Kate, and looks so neat. What a good idea to make a cushion - as you say, it will last.

Yes indeed. I had to look back at the first post to see what you were making, because I didn't remember that it was Santa Claus, and that's what it looks like to me, so far. Dance caller. http://mo-dance-caller.blogspot.co.uk/p/what-i-do.html

I used to do it years ago when the children were younger and it was all the fashion. Tracy had a jumper with a country scene on...sheep etc. Paul had a guy shooting and a spaniel by his side. I did Spencer one with a motorbike on it...ah those were the days. I know what you mean about counting. Some days I can go great guns with my cross stitch and others just cannot knuckle down. http://www.busheyk9.co.uk
If you can't be a good example........ you will just have to be a horrible warning
Re: Knitting intarsia HELP!!After looking up about intarsia, I am full of admiration for anyone who does it. All those different lengths of wool would get me so confused (as if I'm not already).
You certainly give most things a go and with great success. Lots of patience too! After all you crochet projects and now intarsia, I am feeling quite inferior but must not attempt anything else as I have enough half finished things now. ![]() I am now a widow and live with my memories.

Guess the knitting pattern. Santa, panda, what next?.....Oh, you've already told us what it will be, so that spoils the game. Dance caller. http://mo-dance-caller.blogspot.co.uk/p/what-i-do.html
Sunny Clucker enjoyed Folk music and song in mid-Cheshire Re: Knitting intarsia HELP!!HELP!!!!! I have finished the knitting and need to make it up. It has ended up a large rectangle, with the van in the middle, which I am supposed to wrap around a cushion and join the row ends together to make side seams. How do I do that? Just oversew? Won't that show? Do I go though one loop or two?

If so you could do it inside out, then remove the pad, turn it and put the pad in again. Dance caller. http://mo-dance-caller.blogspot.co.uk/p/what-i-do.html
Sunny Clucker enjoyed Folk music and song in mid-Cheshire Re: Knitting HELP (*AGAIN PLEASE)!!It's all pinned with pad in situ, and although I say it myself, I am rather pleased with it now. It looks best from a bit of a distance though!
![]() ![]() Mo, I did think about doing it inside out, but the pattern says to do it from the outside, and as it looks fairly ok now (and took me some time to pin), I dare not take the risk of taking the pad out. But thanks for the idea - if I get stuck, I will definitely try it. Helen xx
